PRESS KIT
Exemio press kit
Everything a journalist, blogger, patient organisation or app directory needs to describe Exemio accurately. The boilerplate and facts below match the App Store listing and the homepage; please quote them rather than paraphrase, and write to hello@exemio.app for anything that is not here.
Boilerplate
One sentence
Exemio is an iPhone eczema diary and tracker: you log itch, skin, sleep, stress, meals and supplements in seconds (or tell Lumi in one sentence), and it summarizes possible triggers and patterns in your own log — ranked by how strong the link is. Not a medical device.
One paragraph
Exemio is an iPhone eczema diary and tracker built by Jakub Pilch, a software developer from Ostrava, Czech Republic, who has lived with eczema since childhood. You log itch, skin, sleep, stress, meals and supplements in seconds — or tell Lumi, the in-app assistant, about your day in one sentence — and Exemio compares your good and bad days to summarize possible triggers and patterns in your own log, ranked by how strong the link is. It is free to download, stores data in the EU, never sells it and takes no skin photos. Exemio is not a medical device.

What the app does
- Log in seconds: Skin Pulse (rate your skin from 1 to 10), one-tap logging from the daily reminder, or a full diary entry (food, supplements, stress, sleep, water, alcohol, cycle, notes). Or tell Lumi "skin 6/10, pizza for dinner, stressful day" and she logs it.
- Quick Insight: a short read on your recent days (one free every 7 days; unlimited with Premium).
- Full Analysis (Premium): compares good and bad days and lists possible triggers and patterns, ranked by how strongly they are linked to your flares. Needs at least 3 logged days; correlations need 5.
- Deep Dive: the most detailed report, over up to 90 days of logs, bought separately as a one-time credit.
- Lumi chat: ask questions about your own data, such as "Is my skin worse after bad sleep?" (up to 5 messages a day on a free account).
- Streaks and a calendar; full export of your logs anytime; PDF summary for your dermatologist (Premium).
Story angles we can back up
Built by a patient
The founder has had eczema since childhood and built the diary he wished he had had. He writes the site's evidence reviews himself and discloses that he is not a doctor.
The EczemaWise shutdown
The best-known eczema tracker, run by the US National Eczema Association, stops working on December 18, 2026. Exemio imports its history, and our comparison page compares eight other apps that appear in current editorial lists or AI answers — with Exemio deliberately last.
No photos, by design
Many eczema apps lean on skin photos. Exemio takes and stores none; it works from what you log, in seconds, every day.
Patterns, not diagnoses
The app's summaries are built from what tended to come before your worse days in your own log, and the site calls every pattern a lead to bring to your dermatologist, not a diagnosis. We think that framing is the story.
Founder
Jakub Pilch is a software developer based in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He has lived with eczema since childhood and builds Exemio himself. He is not a doctor and has no medical training, which the site states openly.
Quotes you may use
- "Dermatologists told me to avoid my triggers without telling me how to find them. Exemio is the diary I wished I had: fast enough to keep up every day, and honest enough to call a pattern a lead for my dermatologist rather than a diagnosis." — Jakub Pilch, founder
- "It is not a medical device and it won't diagnose anything. What it gives you is a lead — something concrete to bring to your doctor instead of a vague memory of a bad month." — Jakub Pilch, founder

What we don't publish
- User, download or revenue numbers — the app launched in January 2026 and we don't want small numbers dressed up as traction.
- Before/after skin photos, efficacy percentages or "found their trigger" success rates. The app shows patterns in a log; it does not measure outcomes.
- Claims about treating, curing or diagnosing eczema, in any language.
